The crew lead introduces the team and conducts a walkthrough of your home with you. During the walkthrough, they note any items requiring special attention, confirm which items are being moved, identify the best route for carrying items out of the building, and review building-specific requirements like elevator access and protected areas. This walkthrough typically takes 10-15 minutes and ensures the crew understands the full scope of the job before they start.
Before anything is moved, the crew installs protective materials throughout your home and building common areas. Floor runners are laid down in hallways and high-traffic areas. Door frames and corners are padded. Elevator interiors are covered with protective blankets. Banisters and railings are wrapped. This protection stays in place until the last item leaves the building and is then carefully removed. The same protection process is repeated at your new home before unloading begins.
